An issue template on Github, along with a how-to guide and a FAQ page, allows developers to submit their contributions to the roadmap. Now, it includes all the contributions that will be shipped in the Nutmeg release - the last version of the Open edX platform - in June. The Open edX Roadmap captures and documents all the contributions to the platform.The idea is to provide more transparency and facilitate engagement with Open edX product managers across the ecosystem. We’d like to give a big shout out to everyone who made this release possible – there are more names than can be listed, but kudos to the Build-Test-Release Working Group organizers: Group Chair Adolfo Brandes, Release Manager Matjaz Gregoric, Release Testing Coordinator Dean Jay Mathew, Quality Assurance Manager Pierre Maihot, and Release Documentation Writer Peter Pinch.The Open edX organization, now called The Center for Reimagining Learning (tCRIL), reorganized the spaces and tools for developers to interact with the software of the platform. Check out the release notes that detail all notable Olive changes.A new MFE, the Authentication MFE, provides a streamlined registration and login experience, including username suggestions upon account creation.For library content, a “Reset Problems” option is available to learners using the Randomized Content Block, enabling the library to be used as a problem bank.Major improvements to the text editor used to create “HTML Components” (now “Text Components”) in Studio.The Discussions Micro-frontend (MFE) now provides the default discussion experience, with a freshly designed UI, better searching capabilities, enhanced forum moderation tools, and automatic addition of Discussions on Units in Studio (no more explicitly adding discussion blocks!).

Olive was released on Monday, December 12th and replaces Maple, released about 6 months prior, as the newest release.
